The occasion of starting a blog is certainly nothing to be celebrated but, life affords us limited opportunities to start off on the right foot. I find myself wanting to sketch out some grand plan or find an overarching theme to adhere to. In truth, I don't really have a specific goal in mind apart from unburdening myself of some of the things that overpopulate my thinking. Still, some formality to the occasion is not necessarily a wasted effort. Let's start with the classic business school Mission, Vision and Values approach. The mission for my objectives is broadly speaking. That's pretty safe territory for a blog of any sort. Next, the vision is a description of the future state of something. That's trickier for a couple of reasons. First, we have definitions. What is having its state observed? When does the initial state begin and the final state commence?
